I believe student success looks different for every learner. Success is not measured only by academic achievement, but also by growth, confidence, perseverance, engagement, and the willingness to take risks in learning. In K–2 intervention, even small moments of progress can have a lasting impact on a child’s confidence and future learning experiences.
My goal is to create supportive, encouraging learning environments where students feel safe, valued, and capable of success. Through intentional instruction, meaningful relationships, and responsive intervention, I strive to help students build strong foundational skills while developing confidence in themselves as learners.
My goal is to help every student experience success through supportive relationships, engaging instruction, and individualized intervention. I strive to create learning experiences where students build foundational skills, develop confidence, and grow into motivated, capable learners who believe in their own potential.
I use targeted, data-informed instruction to help students strengthen foundational reading and math skills. Through intervention, small-group instruction, scaffolding, and ongoing progress monitoring, students receive the support they need to make meaningful progress at their individual learning levels.
Areas of growth may include:
Early literacy development
Phonemic awareness and phonics
Reading fluency and comprehension
Number sense and foundational math skills
Problem-solving and reasoning
Academic confidence and independence
I believe all students are capable of growth when instruction is responsive, supportive, and individualized.
Confidence plays a critical role in student success, especially in intervention settings. I strive to create learning experiences where students feel encouraged, supported, and proud of their progress.
I help students:
Celebrate effort and growth
Develop positive academic mindsets
Take risks in learning
Build independence
Recognize their strengths
Develop perseverance and resilience
By creating a positive and supportive environment, students begin to see themselves as capable learners who can succeed through practice, effort, and support.
Every student brings unique strengths, needs, and learning experiences to the classroom. I use differentiated instruction and flexible support strategies to help students access learning in meaningful ways.
Support may include:
Small-group intervention
Scaffolded instruction
Multisensory learning opportunities
Visual supports
Hands-on activities
Targeted skill instruction
Flexible pacing and practice opportunities
Meeting students where they are helps create successful learning experiences that encourage continued growth.
Strong relationships are an essential part of student success. I believe students learn best when they feel connected, respected, and supported by the adults around them.
I strive to build positive relationships by:
Creating safe and welcoming learning environments
Encouraging student voice and participation
Providing consistent encouragement and feedback
Celebrating progress and achievements
Building trust through patience, understanding, and support
Positive relationships help students feel more confident, engaged, and motivated to learn.
Student success is strengthened through collaboration between teachers, interventionists, specialists, support staff, and families. I value open communication and teamwork to ensure students receive consistent and meaningful support across learning environments.
Collaboration helps create:
Shared goals for student growth
Consistent instructional supports
Stronger intervention plans
Positive home-school connections
Working together allows us to better support the academic, social, and emotional needs of every learner.
I believe growth should always be recognized and celebrated. Whether a student masters a new reading skill, gains confidence in math, participates more independently, or begins taking academic risks, every step forward matters.
I strive to help students recognize their progress and feel proud of their accomplishments, building motivation and a lifelong belief in their ability to learn and grow.
